Are digital technologies making us anti-social?

Hi all,

During week 3 we were initially asked the question “Are digital technologies making us anti-social?” my first thought was true. The reason why I was so sure the answer was true was because over the weekend we had a team dinner for our open ladies Oztag team. We sat down and I looked around the table to begin to start a conversation (my parents had a no phones at the table rule) and majority of the team were on their phones. Our coach sat down and obviously noticed the same thing I had and brought in the no phone rule forcing us to actually speak face to face to each other!

After seeing a red cross against the answer “True” I suppose that there is more complexity around this question after viewing both the photos – one of a bunch of people reading a newspaper and another of  some people on their phones. I searched the internet to find some more responses to this question and enjoyed this article (click HERE) I am looking forward to what week 3 has in store for us.
